2020 Re-Tree Vermillion

The City of Vermillion will be offering a discount on the purchase of a tree to be planted in "approved" locations in or near the boulevard.

This year's offering is the Northern Red Oak. The Northern Red Oak is a fast growing tree; it can grow up to 2 feet per year. It can grow to be 60 - 70 feet tall and 45 feet wide. The Northern Red Oak is a great street tree that offers a lot of shade and turns a vibrant red in the fall.

To Purchase Your Tree

Mark you tree location.
Submit an application for a Tree Permit.
If approved, a City Tree Specialist will notify you.
Trees will be available for pickup at Vermillion Ace Hardware beginning May 4th. Trees are $25 each.

Program Guidelines

Property that tree is to be planted in must be within City Limits.
The tree must be planted in the boulevard (that little strip of grass between the street and the sidewalk) or front yard.
There are 10 trees available for single family homes, 1 tree per property.
